2019 has just started here are some forecast on upcoming trends on color, typography, shapes and sizes that we've witnessed.

Every year we see something extremely exciting in the design industry.

1. Bold Colors

Bold colors are adventurous and these vibrant colors are continuing to be bigger and badder in 2019. These are something you want to look into to have your work stand out.

2. Asymmetry

Asymmetry is more than creating a lack of balance. The uniqueness of intentionally avoiding traditional balance will make your work eye catching.

3. Animations

Small animations allow for a more immersive experience on your advertisements, websites and apps. The experience of animations can be felt through different mediums of media and can promote your message in a fun way.

4. Eclectic

Remember making collages in elementary school? Well, they are back. These combination of ideas from multifarious origins can catalyze a fantastic outcome. It can be a little more challenging but doing this will really make your work very prominent.

5. Gradients

Gradients came back last year and here to stay. They mix and blend different shades of color, gradients can create new color combinations that create a different feel, lending a completely unique feel to designs.

6. Bold Typography

Combine bold font with minimalism, you got yourself a winner. Typography has been getting bigger and bolder. This minimalist approach provides a more focused-design appeal.

7. Authentic Imagery

Being real is what everyone has been going more. In a world with advertisements being heavily photoshopped and edited, having a less polished image shows a sense of reality to the brand. You can see these snapshots throughout many projects throughout different mediums.

Conclusion

What new design ideas are you most looking forward to using in graphic design projects this year?

All of these trends are something you can implement today! There’s nothing more exciting than a merging of beautiful design and highly usable experience.
